This is a Health & Safety Executive recognised course which fully complies with Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L74 guidelines for the qualification of workplace First Aiders.
First Aid at Work (FAW) - The Legal Requirement
Employers have an obligation under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and Approved Code of Practice (ACOP L74) to make adequate and appropriate First Aid provision for their workforce. It is recommended that someone is able to undertake First Aid duties at all times when people are at work. This is a Health & Safety Executive recognised course which fully complies with Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L74 guidelines for the qualification of workplace First Aiders.
Health & Safety Executive (HSE) First Aid at Work (FAW) Course (3 Days)
A First Aid at Work (FAW) qualification will make a positive contribution to the safety of your workplace. After qualifying in First Aid at Work (FAW) you'll have the essential skills to handle any First Aid situation, from minor slips and trips to the most serious of incidents.
On completion of FAW training, successful candidates should be competent in:

After successful completion of the course and a final practical assessment, students will be awarded the HSE approved and recognised First Aid at Work Certificate which is valid for 3 years. This award is also recognised and accepted by the Security Industry Authority (SIA).
Health & Safety Executive (HSE) First Aid at Work Refresher / Requalifier (FAWR) Course (2 Days)
This course is for those candidates who hold a FAW Certificate that is about to expire. Your FAW Certificate is valid for 3 years and you must re-qualify beforehand if you want to avoid having to do the full course again.
Course contents include:
Course duration is 2 days and contains realistic scenario based exercises. After successful completion of the course and a final practical assessment, students will be awarded the HSE approved and recognised, First Aid at Work Certificate which is valid for 3 years. This award is also recognised and accepted by the Security Industry Authority (SIA).
Health & Safety Executive (HSE) Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) Course (1 Day)
This course covers the skills required by a First Aider in the modern workplace and will equip you with the knowledge to deal with First aid emergencies.
On completion of training, successful candidates will be able to:

Continuous assessment is used to evaluate the candidates and there is no final practical assessment.
Health & Safety Executive (HSE) First Aid Basic Skills Update / Annual Refresher Course (1/2 Day)
This course updates and refreshes the skills required by a First Aider in the modern workplace and will equip you with the knowledge to deal with First aid emergencies.
On completion of training, candidates will be able to demonstrate their competence to:
Course duration is ½ day. Continuous assessment is used to evaluate the candidates and there is no final practical assessment.

For additional economy and flexibility, corporate clients may opt to have this course delivered on their own site. Companies can negotiate the course dates and timings.
